A few weeks ago I visited the French Connection head office as it’s a brand I’ve had an eye on for a long time (remember the FCUK ad campaigns of the early 2000s) and they were actually located opposite my flat so I really had no excuses.
The pre-collection focused mainly on denim, a somewhat simplified style with an emphasis on ‘Rip and Repair’ abrasions and rough cuts. The shirts were my particular favourite as they came in thicker fabrics; a piqué polo top reworks the classic cotton style, while the sweats were plush and luxurious, backed in soft fleece.
The signature ‘F’ logo features on both oversized and mini prints and is tonal to the garment it sits on. During my rounds I also ran into a fellow blogger Ronan from The Wild Swans who was of course impeccably dressed and rocking a tweed blazer like noones business.

It’s clear that comfort was on the minds of the designers as the clothes felt as good as they looked. I almost wish you could touch things through a computer screen but for now we have to settle for the next best thing:
