Duchamp style fashion AW14 Collection Jetsetting Rogue

For those of you not aware of Duchamp, they’re a British men’s clothing and accessories company founded in 1989 by Mitchell Jacobs (formerly a buyer at Browns). The name itself comes from the French artist Marcel Duchamp who was described by Jacobs as a man who ‘turned everyday objects into art’ and you can feel his mentality towards the brand started with that one phrase. Duchamp initially specialised in cufflinks although the brand soon diversified into ties and other accessories. A small boutique was opened up in Notting Hill in 1998 and over the years after Duchamp started selling suits, jackets and shirts, the presence and name have gone from strength to strength.

For the AW14 collection Duchamp created five profiles that all showcase individual men’s styles. The campaign aims to encapsulate how the discerning gentleman should dress throughout the winter season, featuring an array of fabrics from luxury corduroy suiting, Scottish tweed three pieces and printed silks for evening jackets. The profiles for the AW14 collection focus on these luxury lifestyles: The Jetsetting Rogue, The Artist, The Country Gent, The Alpinista and The Entertainer.

Because the Duchamp brand is all about standing out from the crowd and catering for a man who is adventurous, sophisticated and international, the Jetsetting Rogue is the perfect personality to kick off the collection. The Jetsetting Rogue draws inspirations from the first international entrepreneurs, think about the effortlessly stylish Jon Hamm in ‘Mad Men’ or Leonardo DiCaprio in the classic film ‘Catch Me If You Can’. The styles themselves are simple yet crisp, made of lightweight breathable fabrics that make them perfect for long distance travel.
