Coldsmoke who are based in Venice, California have a brand new lookbook for their Fall/Winter 2013 debut collection. The winter sportswear brand presents an assortment of goose-down jackets, 3-layer waterproof breathable fabrics, Melton wool button-downs, Japanese French terry fleece pieces, and military-style crewnecks and zip-ups.
What first interested me about this is the photographer they used to capture the look and feel of the brand. A Chicago-based photographer who goes by the name of trashhand and someone I have been following for a while managed to capture the feel of the lookbook in his shots. I am hoping to do a full feature on Trashhand in the future so check his stuff out, this man takes some unique shots.
In an effort to strike a balance between function and style, COLDSMOKE takes influence from military and technical performance wear, executing parkas, slick M65 jackets, vests and anoraks in predominantly neutral colours. The brand uses a variety of materials, including the eVent Waterproof Fabric (developed by G.E. Technology), which is specifically engineered to balance external moisture and heat to provide year-round comfort.
The Coldsmoke collection will debut at retailers such as Feature in Las Vegas and Bodega in Boston but this lookbook really shows the potential of the brand and I for one cannot wait to see more from them.
CLSC & Hall of Fame have also recently launched a new lookbook. Check it out here.
